Barley Kheer

Ingredients


1. Barley whole - 1/2 Cup

2. Milk - 1 Kg

3. Dry fruits - As per your choice

4. Cardamom Pd. - 1 teaspoon

5. Sugar - 2-3 Tb spoons

Method

  1. Wash thoroughly barley grains and soak in water for at least 5-6 hours or overnight.

  2. Grind the soaked barley to coarse consistency in a grinder with little water.

  3. Boil milk and add this mixture in boiling milk and stir continuously cooking on slow flame till the mixture becomes thick.

  4. Add 1/2 cup sugar or as per your taste and continue stirring for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. Add cardamom Pd. and chopped dry fruits and mix.

  6. Switch off the flame.

  7. Garnish with some chopped dry fruits and serve hot or cold as per taste.
